Recently I was invited to perform at the Norfolk Island Jazz Festival. This encouraged me to record a new CD of some of my favourite old jazz standards mixed with some original tunes that I've written with my husband Mark Tinson.
Before commencing the recording we visited New Orleans Jazzfest and I came home buzzing with the jazz, the funky rhythms and the second line street beats. The result of this musical gumbo is my new album Colours. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed recording it.
I've been so busy with my vocal teaching this year, I've not had the chance to perform as much as I'd like - but I hope to be out and about promoting Colours in the near future.
